Next up – 1953′s Tony Award for Best Play: The Crucible, by Arthur Miller.
While this is a great play, I picked this one to talk about because I personally have some connection to it. This was the very first play (not musical) that I ever saw on Broadway. I actually was there opening night when it was revived in 2002 with Liam Neeson and Laura Linney (and they were BREATHTAKING). Seeing this play actually made me start to enjoy plays just as much as musicals, which is a good thing since I’m going into performing arts management (specifically theatre management) as a career!
